Today we morn the passing of another prince...Attrell Cordes, 46, husband and father of three children.
In the early 1990's, the masses were waking up with a killer hangover from the 80's. MTV was already making the transition from "music" television to crap.
Cordes and his brother Jarrett started the group P.M. Dawn in 1988. They hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in November of 1991 with "Set Adrift on Memory Bliss" which featured a backdrop of Spandau Ballet's "True".
In 1992, this song was featured in the Eddie Murphy movie "Boomerang" and hit #3 on the Hot 100.....
Godspeed to a talented man of faith....your voice will be missed.
'Set Adrift' was the shit. 2 princes gone now. Dang. +
